| Is the Best Practice offered by the Solution Provider sound? |
Each Best Practices posted by Solution Providers is peer reviewed by experts working in the same field and geographic area to evaluate their validity and appropriateness before they are verified as Proven Solutions. The competitive process through which Proven Solutions are requested for replication further strengthens this review. |
| Is the Solution Provider a quality institution and soundly managed? |
Only well established developing country organizations that have been through accreditation, partnership or listing processes requiring due diligence with a UN body or a partner human development stock exchange can act as Solution Providers. |
| Is the match between the need and the Proven Solution sound? |
The soundness of the matched is presumed by the competitive market mechanism that established it, and it is tested by a conceptual evaluation of the need as articulated and of the Proven Solution as peer reviewed. SS-HDSX must approve all matches after both the Solution Seeker and the Solution provider have agreed to cooperate with each other. |
| Is the Solutions Seeker a quality and sound institution? |
The Solution Provider assesses the soundness of the Solution Seeker before agreeing to cooperate. It is also responsible for enhancing the capacity of the Solution Seeker by teaching-by-doing. |
| Will the two cooperating institutions deliver as designed in the cooperation project? |
Mutual accountability is established contractually by the two cooperating institutions, and enforced by each other provided their interests, and thanks to the communications channels available for reporting and commenting. Volunteers also contribute to project monitoring and reporting. |
| Will any actor besides the Solution Provider and the Solution Seeker review the project’s performance and impact? |
Besides formal evaluations by the cooperating partners and by SS-HDSX volunteers, the on-line platform will permit posting of feedback by the general public, in order to encourage delivery, transparency, accountability and public discussions on the project’s performance. |
