Count me in as a Volunteer
Volunteers offer their time to perform tasks necessary for the functioning of the pilot South-South Exchange, or of the cooperation projects it supports.
Volunteers engage in activities such as translating or interpreting, assisting in the development of communications strategy of a project, or providing specialized or technical services in the field of engineering, sanitation, health or education, to name just a few. Depending on their qualifications and availability, Volunteers may get involved on one-off tasks or on longer term projects.
South-South Exchange volunteers play a major role monitoring and evaluating progress of cooperation projects and reporting on it.
Volunteers that reside close to a pilot South-South Exchange project site, or that are travelling through the area, can visit the cooperation project. Following pilot South-South Exchange guidelines, they witness the project accomplishments and interview the Solution Provider, the Solution Seeker, the beneficiary community, and other actors involved or affected by the project to really understand the challenges and human development impact of the project.
Volunteers then write reports which, together with self-reporting reports by cooperation partners, become part of the interim and final project completion report submitted to social investors.
If you wish to become a volunteer for the pilot South-South Exchange, please email ssc.hdsx@undp.org. Attach your curriculum vitae or resume and a motivation letter describing your aspirations, skill set and availability.
