Count me in as a Solutions Seeker

Solution Seekers are developing country institution looking for new methods and ideas to help their beneficiary communities.

Solution Seekers search for a Proven Solution at the pilot South-South Exchange partnership building market. If they find initiatives which they think would be effective at addressing their challenges and they would like to replicate in their community, they express interest in cooperating with the Solution Provider.

Any developing country institution whose vision and mission is consistent with those of the South-South Exchange and the United Nations can be a Solution Seeker.

Once a partnership is established between a Solution Seeker and a Solution Provider, a cooperation project is drafted, peer-reviewed, and listed on the pilot South-South Exchange social investment market for funding. If financed, the partners implement the project.

Solution Seekers can request to establish cooperation by emailing ssc.hdsx@undp.org. They should identify their organization, geographic location, and specify their chosen Proven Solution.

Solution Seekers get to:

  • Learn about Best Practices in human development by other developing country institutions,
  • Find Proven Solutions that will assist them with the human development needs of their communities,
  • Gain experience, knowledge, technology and know-how by cooperating with an institution that has a Proven Solution,
  • Learn by doing so that they can continue to implement a Proven Solution for human development even after the cooperation project is completed,
  • Advance human development in their beneficiary community.
