Best Practices are posted at the pilot South-South Exchange by developing country institutions wishing to showcase their successes in advancing human development, and eager to cooperate to replicate those successes in another developing country and teach their methods to other institutions. Once a practice has been assessed to be a quality initiative through a peer-review process, it is listed on the pilot South-South Exchange partnership building market.

Through this market, any developing country institution looking for ideas on how to advance human development effectively can study the Proven Solutions offered for cooperation. If they find an initiative that matches the needs of their beneficiary community and that they are interested in learning by doing, they can request to implement the solution in their community, in partnership with the Solution Provider.

In addition to this income opportunity, many street papers offer their vendors locally relevant resources, such as health or social services, job training, art & writing workshops and personal development opportunities. LD	Building Advice and Construction Improvement Programme	BACIP	This project of the Aga Khan Planning and Building Service works with low income households in remote rural areas of northern Pakistan to improve their housing conditions. Housing in the area is poorly built and typically has cold, dark, damp and dusty indoor conditions and a lack of simple household products. There is a high incidence of chest and eye infections. Excessive use of wood for cooking, heating and construction, results in high costs and workload as well as high levels of deforestation, a loss of biodiversity and unacceptable levels of indoor air pollution. LD	Enhancing Women's Livelihoods through Low Cost Food Processing Solutions	C-DOT, RADA	By training 50 Sri Lankan Women to become leaders in the production, conservation and marketing of foodstuffs, C-DOT in partnership with RADA will develop social businesses in the coastal village of Sainthamarudu. These microenterprises will be focused on the production of shrimp pickle and other fish products through low-cost food processing and conservations solutions developed in India.
LD	Creative Start-up Businesses for Kenya’s Youth	ABC-RJ, LAVINCA	This project will establish creative start-up businesses that will provide sustainable livelihoods for over 30 youth in the Kisumu region of Kenya. Açao Communitaria will cooperate with a Kenyan NGO, developing their skills recruiting, training, motivating and providing small business development services for local talent.
