Count me in as a Peer Reviewer
Peer Reviewers ensure that the Best Practices listed are high quality. When a Best Practice is listed on the pilot South-South Exchange partnership building market, it is assessed by a panel of at least 3 experts working in similar fields and in the same geographic region.
Peer reviewers examine the Best Practice by reading available documentation and by discussing with the Solution Provider their activities and the rationale behind their initiatives. Peer reviewers also interview various Best Practice project stakeholders, including beneficiaries and community members. Sometimes they perform an on-site evaluation.
After completing their research and discussions, if the peer review process finds the Best Practice to be a quality initiative, it categorizes it as a Proven Solution.
Peer reviewers are also given an opportunity to provide constructive feedback directly to the Solution Provider.
Currently Best Practices are assigned to be peer reviewed by experts from NGOs accredited at the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs NGO Section, through its network of regional coordinators.
If you are an expert working on human development issues and would like to make a difference as a peer reviewer, please email ssc.hdsx@undp.org and request to be vetted to join the South-South Exchange’s roster of peer reviewers. Please attach you curriculum vitae or resume and a motivation letter.
